Bowie Christian School is currently hiring for the 2008-2009 school year. Interviews are being conducted for the following positions.
Elementary Teacher
ëQualifications for the Elementary Teacher position include: a four-year degree, experience in working with and/or teaching children ages 5 to 8, an active Christian lifestyle, and a good work ethic.
ëThe Elementary Teacher position salary is based upon a 35-hour work week from mid-August through early June. Staff hours are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary range is $22,500-$25,000.
ëResponsibilities of the Elementary Teacher position include: lesson planning and preparation for a class of 10 students, conducting the learning activities of the class, parent/teacher conferences, supervising field trips, and interaction with both the students and parents.
Elementary Teacher Aide
ëQualifications for the Elementary Teacher Aide position include: experience in working with and/or teaching children ages 5 to 8, an active Christian lifestyle, and a good work ethic.
ëThe Elementary Teacher Aide position salary is based upon a 35-hour work week from mid-August through early June. Staff hours are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary range is $13,600-$15,000.
ëResponsibilities of the Elementary Teacher Aide position include: setting up and preparing the classroom and supplies for the school day, keeping daily attendance/goal records, aiding in the learning activities of the class, clean up of classroom and supplies for the school day, chaperoning field trips, and interaction with both the students and parents.
Preschool Teacher
ëQualifications for the Preschool Teacher position include: a 90-hour MD State Child Care Provider certificate or a four-year degree, experience in working with and/or teaching children ages 3 to 5, an active Christian lifestyle, and a good work ethic.
ëThe Preschool Teacher position salary is based upon a 25-hour work week from mid-August through early June. Staff hours are 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Preschool Teacher Aide
ëQualifications for the Preschool Teacher Aide position include: experience in working with and/or teaching children ages 3 to 5, an active Christian lifestyle, and a good work ethic.
ëThe Preschool Teacher Aide position salary is based upon a 25-hour work week from mid-August through early June. Staff hours are 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
